We are proud to be partially owned by, and also host Uppsala Health Summit in a town that has been awarded not one, but five (!) prestigious awards related to sustainable city futures in the past year.
In 2018, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) named Uppsala the global winner of One Planet City Challenge. In the same year and among the ranks of other Swedish cities, Uppsala was awarded a price for its collaborative and sustainable growth, another one for being the best city for biking, a third on its work on public health and finally one for being the best municipality in Sweden to just generally live in…
But we are also aware of the many challenges ahead. Over the coming 25 years, the city's population is expected to double. For Uppsala the summit is an opportunity to deepen its insights on how to manage this growth in an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable way.
